The first 10,000-ton green hydrogen project started
On July 25, five photovoltaic power generation projects (with a total installed capacity of 9.35 million kilowatts) held a centralized opening ceremony.
The 700,000-kilowatt photovoltaic hydrogen production project started construction on the same day. The project will also build a 20,000-ton hydrogen production project in the Wushihua plant area. After the project is completed, it is expected to generate 1.013 billion kilowatt-hours of green electricity per year, save 309,400 tons of standard coal, reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 761,100 tons, and convert 216,600 tons of standard oil.
This project will provide a demonstration for China Petroleum to build a new model of integrated upstream and downstream coordinated development and green development. The green electricity generated by the photovoltaic project constructed this time is mainly supplied to Wushihua for green electricity to produce green hydrogen, replacing the previous natural gas hydrogen production, saving natural gas consumption, and contributing to regional carbon reduction.
This project will rely on photovoltaic projects, give full play to the advantages of resources, technology, and market, build a hydrogen production plant with an annual output of 10,000 tons, deploy more than 10 comprehensive energy stations, and be equipped with more than 1,000 hydrogen energy logistics heavy trucks and municipal vehicles, providing clean and reliable energy solutions for transportation, urban construction and other fields in Xinjiang.
The launch of the 700,000-kilowatt photovoltaic hydrogen production project is expected to produce 1.013 billion kilowatt-hours of green electricity annually, helping to save standard coal, reduce carbon dioxide emissions, and promote regional green and low-carbon development. The project not only provides a new model of upstream and downstream integration and green development for companies such as China Petroleum, but also provides a clean and reliable hydrogen energy solution for transportation and urban construction in Xinjiang, promoting the coordinated development of the regional economy and environment.
