The construction project of green ammonia synthesis with annual output of 90,000 tons of green hydrogen and 500,000 tons of green ammonia has started

 

On July 1, the integrated wind, solar, hydrogen storage and ammonia demonstration project-synthetic green ammonia construction project was launched in the industrial park, taking a solid step towards the development of new energy industry and zero-carbon fuel manufacturing.


Relying on the advantages of natural wind and solar resources, the project has more than 3,000 hours of sunshine throughout the year, strong winds and many days with strong winds. It strives to create a new energy industry system that integrates power generation, consumption, storage and  application.

Among them, the integrated wind and solar hydrogen production project will build 1.25 million kilowatts of wind power and 1.15 million kilowatts of photovoltaic power, and will use ALK alkaline liquid water electrolysis technology to produce hydrogen. It will adopt domestic advanced ammonia synthesis technology, use green electricity generated from upstream wind farms as energy, configure a water electrolysis hydrogen production device to produce hydrogen, configure a corresponding air separation device to produce nitrogen, and then synthesize hydrogen and nitrogen into green ammonia, with an annual production capacity of 500,000 tons.

 

 

After the project is completed, it is expected to generate about 6.3 billion kWh of green electricity per year, saving 1.339 million tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 6.3278 million tons; it is expected to produce 90,000 tons of green hydrogen and 500,000 tons of green ammonia annually, which will effectively enhance the local green electricity consumption capacity, play a leading role in the transformation of energy structure and green and low-carbon development, promote the rapid development of the regional hydrogen and ammonia industry, broaden the application channels of green hydrogen.

The integrated wind, solar, hydrogen storage and ammonia project is an important component of the hydrogen energy industry, a strategic emerging industry and future industry, and an important measure to develop new quality productivity.
