In recent years, China has adhered to planning-led, innovation-driven and pilot-first policies to promote the development of the hydrogen energy industry. In the next step, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will focus on three aspects: technological innovation, iterative application and policy support to better promote the high-quality development of the hydrogen energy industry.

First, strengthen technological innovation and continue to improve the hydrogen energy technology innovation system. Relying on the national science and technology plan, we will support basic materials, core components, key equipment and technology research in the field of hydrogen energy, orderly promote the implementation of projects such as hydrogen aircraft, liquid hydrogen transport ships, and offshore wind power hydrogen production equipment, and build a "manufacturing, storage, transmission and use" whole industry chain hydrogen energy equipment system.

Second, increase iterative applications and promote the green and low-carbon transformation of traditional industries. We will actively create application scenarios such as hydrogen energy parks and hydrogen energy communities, and explore and form effective business models. And actively promote the demonstration application of hydrogen energy in wind and solar bases and other fields, accelerate the promotion of alternative applications in key industrial fields, promote the application verification of hydrogen energy in aviation, shipbuilding, and ocean engineering fields, and continue to carry out fuel cell vehicle demonstrations. Encourage the research and development of long-distance and large-load fuel cell vehicle products, focus on promoting the application of artificial intelligence, cloud computing and other technologies in the field of hydrogen energy, and better promote the digital, intelligent and green development of the hydrogen energy industry.

Third, strengthen policy support and create a new ecosystem for high-quality development of hydrogen energy. Promote and increase finance support, and encourage government investment funds to cultivate and incubate new technologies, new business formats, new products, and new models in the field of hydrogen energy in a market-oriented manner; accelerate the construction of hydrogen energy-related standard systems, and encourage enterprises, universities, and scientific research institutes to carry out hydrogen energy-related international cooperation with countries around the world.
