Hydrogen Fuel Cell Module obtained the type approval certificate issued by China Classification Society (CCS)

On May 23, a Chinese high-temperature proton exchange membrane fuel cell module (certificate product name "Hydrogen Fuel Cell Module") obtained the type approval certificate issued by China Classification Society (CCS). This is the first fuel cell module product in China with high-temperature proton exchange membrane as the core technology that has passed CCS certification. It marks that high-temperature proton exchange membrane fuel cell modules have made breakthrough progress in the application field of electric ships, and will contribute to the promotion of green and low-carbon shipping industry. 

The product specifications of the high-temperature proton exchange membrane fuel cell module certified this time cover 3~20kW. It has passed more than 30 CCS type approval tests such as IP67, vibration protection, high and low temperature environment, alternating heat and humidity, and electromagnetic compatibility, and complies with the " Certification standard requirements such as "Interim Rules for Technology and Inspection of Hydrogen Fuel Cell Powered Ships" (2022), "Guidelines for Fuel Cell Power Generation Devices for Ship Applications" (2022).

The operating temperature of the high-temperature proton exchange membrane fuel cell module is 150~180°C. At this operating temperature, the battery electrode reaction rate is greatly increased, the reformed gas can be used directly without purification. This fuel cell module key material components such as high-temperature proton exchange membranes and high-temperature membrane electrodes were independently developed. Its performance has reached the international leading level, providing a strong guarantee for the efficient and stable operation of the fuel cell module.

China's high-temperature proton exchange membrane fuel cell module has been certified by China Classification Society, which marks China's major breakthrough in this technology field and will promote the development of green and low-carbon shipping industry.
