China's first 10,000-ton photovoltaic hydrogen production industry demonstration project begins commissioning
Recently, the photovoltaic hydrogen production demonstration project in Ordos City began to be debugged and is expected to be officially put into trial operation in August. This project is the first 10,000-ton photovoltaic hydrogen production demonstration project in the country. It is the first in the country to break through the 60-kilometer long-distance photo-oxygen integrated technology and realize the efficient integration of solar energy and hydrogen energy through the water electrolysis process.
This project is the first batch of wind and solar hydrogen production integrated demonstration projects in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. After the project is fully put into production, it can achieve an annual production of about 10,000 tons of hydrogen and about 80,000 tons of oxygen. Hydrogen energy is a green, low-carbon and widely used secondary energy. It is an important carrier for building the country's future energy system and supporting the green and low-carbon transformation of energy-consuming terminals.
The average annual power generation of the photovoltaic plant is 740 million kWh. Compared with the same power generation of thermal power, it is equivalent to saving 226,000 tons of standard coal, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 594,000 tons, sulfur dioxide by 119 tons, and nitrogen oxides by 113 tons each year.
The project not only has significant environmental and economic benefits, but also provides strong demonstration and support for building a future clean energy system and promoting the commercial development of the hydrogen energy industry chain.
